Bowdoin College

Many Bowdoin students are eligible to vote in the upcoming election. You can also get help with registering to vote & voting through Bowdoin Votes.

Even if you aren’t on campus or in Brunswick—due to Covid-19 (or another reason)—if you intend to return and haven’t registered elsewhere, you can maintain your existing registration and vote, or register for the first time with your last Brunswick address.

IMPORTANT NOTICES ABOUT REGISTERING TO VOTE

Proof of Residency: For Bowdoin students not currently on campus, your proof of residency will be a letter sent to you by Bowdoin on September 21 listing your most recent dorm address. Look for that email in your inbox or archives. You will also need to attach other documentation to prove your identity, for which a Bowdoin ID will suffice. If you are living on campus, you do not need to attach this documentation, as the Brunswick clerk will have a student directory to verify your dorm address.

Where to Register

You can register at Brunswick Town Hall at 85 Union Street. Find office hours at brunswickme.org. You can register in-person at Brunswick Town Hall anytime it’s open between now and 11/3—if you go between 10/5 and 10/30, you can also vote early right then and there.
