Register to Vote
You can register to vote at your town office or city hall. You can also register to vote by filling out this form and mailing it in or delivering it to your municipal clerk or the Division of Elections.

You are Eligible to vote if you are:
- a US Citizen
- a Maine resident
- 18 or older on Nov. 3rd, 2020
Deadline to register by mail:
Monday, October 19th
If you’re going to mail in your voter registration form, it must be received at your municipal clerk or the Division of Elections in Augusta, by Monday, October 19. After this date, you can still register in person anytime that your town office or city hall is open, or in-person at the polls on Election Day.
Register on ELECTION DAY:
Tuesday, November 3rd
You can register to vote at your polling location on Election Day. You will need proof of identity and residency in Maine. To most easily and efficiently prove your identity and residency, bring:
- a government-issued ID with your Maine address on it
- an ID without your Maine address along with a printed utility bill, bank statement, or similar document showing your Maine address.
